We've been getting a ton of press for the new show lately. As far as I can tell, it's all been positive, or at the very least, not negative. Which is encouraging, although I don't take reviews that seriously. Even though good reviews make you feel all warm and squishy, I've learned over the years not to treat them as anything other than one person's opinion. The same is true for bad reviews. The only reason I even pay attention to them is because I care very much what the wider audience thinks, and I'm hoping that the press's (so far) positive response to our show bodes well for what the viewers (hopefully) think. Sho and I have put tremendous work and energy into the show, and we really want people to enjoy it.
We've both put in a lot of years into this stuff, and we've had a lot of shows and movies on over the years, so in a way the stakes get higher each time out because unlike when we were just starting out, now we've got a reputation to not only protect but to hopefully enhance. As fun as comedy is to make, it's also hard fucking work, and we really give it everything we know how to give it. Anyway, I'm not saying anything other than to acknowledge the obvious: we hope you like the new show. We made it for you.

I, for one, can't wait. I always love your and Sho's endeavors, separate or together.

What a perfectly lovely thing to say. In return, I have to say: men, you are amazing. I was just commenting to some Norwegian or other
, after I saw Showalter cracking up, how shocking (and wonderful) it was too see you two smile, you know, real smiles. And I was shocked that I was shocked. And then I thought about how often comedians must not be allowed to laugh, always keeping the straight face, and the sort of bittersweet irony there. And how hard it must be for you to work at always finding that delicate balance that you do of funny and absurd, and you do so so well. And I've seen so many peoples comments on how your random funniness on your blog, or tweeting, or projects, or whatever, it gets them through the day, through a hard time. That's pretty amazing. It is a gift. Thank you for giving it to us.
Hats off to you two. Who knew dick jokes could be this good?!

Very sweet of you guys:) Even with the success you've had and will have, you remain grounded an all-around nice guys. That is just as impressive as your work.

i hate both of the michaels and i have no idea why in the world comedy central would even waste any time or money on a stupid show doomed to fail in less than one full season. everyone will watch the first couple episodes, become annoyed and inevitably change the channel to a slightly less worse show like meet the browns

It's about time you did something for us.

I love how even people who don't like you take the time to make really in-depth predictions about your show and post them to your blog. That shiz takes some time and effort men. See?! Even the disgruntled can't stop thinking about you!!
You are awesome.
