What I've read on Twitter

Posted by Michael Showalter Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

For the most part people seem to really love the show. That's really cool, cuz we worked hard and are happy to see the fruits of our labor not go to waste. FYI, the fruits of our labor are bananas; bing cherries and crab apples. The worst things I've been able to find so far was from a guy in Toledo who said "Michael & Michael is kind of funny." I've also found one guy from Mississippi who said, "Michael & Michael was pretty funny." These are very tempered statements and guys from Toledo and Mississippi I promise that by the end of next week's episode you'll have upgraded from "kind of" to "fairly" and from "pretty" to "essentially". I promise!

I think it's agreed. Quiet Bob was a killer. Jenny, I also am dead, and rotting with laughter! The giggle maggots are everywhere — thanks Quiet Bob!

Ouestion…

I'm a huge fan of you and love the show, but I don't have cable. I have been going to my ex's place to watch it, but if I purchase the season on iTunes, does that help in ratings? I don't mind going to my ex's place to watch it, but i'll spend less on iTunes than bus fare to his place, plus I have to transfer to the train, it's like an hour commute, but I'm not complaining, I just wanna give my support so which option is more helpful to the show's success? (run-on sentence)

Thanks!

Jen

You need to search "michael AND Michael have issues" as well as "michael & michael have issues" to get more reactions. Also, do the same on your google alerts, as people spell the conjunction both ways.

The Show was fantastic. Really really loved the second episode.

Also in regards to Jen's question about itunes, I asked the same question to one of the producers, and they said it MOST surely helps!!!!

Your show is awesome dude. Managed to watch it in the UK and hope it comes to our channels soon. Better than most of the stuff here!

I was doing a google search looking for the ratings for your show (hoping they're excellent of course). Instead I came across this site that rates how appropriate shows are for children. It's unintentionally hysterical and really worth checking out. Would love to hear your commentary on it. For example….

"Neither character could serve as a positive role model for kids — or anyone else. They both engage in negative behavior like lying, fighting, and flat-out illegal activities … but their foibles are meant to be funny."
